Catalogue Note

The German Architect Carl Heinrich Frühling (1807-1893) was appointed as an official court architect by Count Otto Zu Stolberg-Wernigerode. From 1962 to 1893, he worked on a large project at the castle Wernigerode, turning it into one of the best examples of neo-gothic architecture and interior decorating. The present prickets candle sticks formed part of the furnishing of castle Wernigerode.
