Condition
This panel is bowing. The surface is clean and thinly painted in areas. Under UV, small dots of inpainting fluoresce which correspond to the cradle supports affixed to the reverse - these dots are slightly visible to the naked eye.

Catalogue Note
The view represented in the present work looks west over the beach near Le Treport's harbor entrance where a lighthouse can be seen rising from the mist. The jagged shapes at the composition's far left suggest the tall buildings that line the quai.
