Catalogue Note

Jumping 1/4 and 1/5th second indications are rare and mostly seen in the era on watches were made for the Eastern markets. This jumping seconds watch contains a subsidiary dial that advances in tiny jumps of 1/5th second, beating with the balance. This high precision feature is considered to be the precursor of the chronograph.
