Catalogue Note

A wonderful view of the city; the photographs overall with uniform dark tones. Another copy of "this panorama was exhibited at the 1867 international exposition in Paris, where it attracted great attention. It shows the Imperial Council building under construction at Kasimpasa, the foundations of which were laid in 1864, and the third Galata bridge that was in service between 1863 and 1875." (Öztuncay)
