Folio (560 x 410mm.), double-page engraved title incorporating the dedication and 69 (of 70) plates, comprising: 65 (of 66) numbered plates (lacking plates 29 and 32, but with a duplicate of plate 30) showing chimney-pieces, commodes, furniture, clocks etc., and 4 plates bound at the end (normally bound in the text) showing shells, vases and architectural details, modern red half morocco over marbled boards, [BAL RIBA 2556], lacking the text and plates 29 and 32, a few short marginal tears, some spotting, shelf marks and a little scuffing to spine
