Second edition, folio (550 x 368mm.), 20 plates and illustrations complete with all overslips, comprising: 9 aquatint plates of which 2 are double-page (all but one hand-coloured, 4 with overslips, one with overpage); and 11 aquatint and etched illustrations in text (3 hand-coloured, of which 2 have overslips), 3 of the plates/illustrations with overslips have double overslips, contemporary half roan with original printed label on upper cover, bookplate of presentation from E.C. Margesson to Worthing Public Library, [Abbey, Scenery 57 (but cf. 55); BAL RIBA 2730 (note)], library stamp on verso of title, first and last few leaves dampstained in lower outer corner, frontispiece loose, one pair of overslips slightly creased at edges, binding worn and covers detached

Stadler used Repton's Red Book to publish these designs, which were never executed, being superseded by those of Nash (see lots 187 and 188). For another work by Repton see lot 191.
