First edition, 4to (340 x 270mm.), 100 hand-coloured aquatint plates, advertisement leaf and plate list in volume 3, three-quarter red morocco, the marbled sides enclosed within a continuous red morocco border, spines gilt, [Abbey, Scenery 396], vol.1 with section of blank margin cut out of plate at p.182 and last plate offset, vol.2 with some ink markings on p.31 of text of Kensington Palace, vol.3 with very occasional slight offsetting in Carlton House section, marbled sides slightly rubbed and with occasional loss, lower joint of vol.2 and upper joint vol.3 splitting

A handsome and overall very clean copy of this finely illustrated work depicting Windsor Castle, Buckingham House (Palace), Frogmore, Hampton Court, Kensington Palace, St James's Palace and Carlton House.
