First edition, 2 volumes, folio (316 x 195mm.), half-title, allegorical engraved frontispiece by van Gouwen, first title-page printed in red and black with woodcut arms of the city of Amsterdam, numerous engraved illustrations in the text, folding genealogical table made from three printed sheets, 52 plates and plans (some folding or double-page), contemporary blind-stamped vellum, [cf. BAL RIBA 684 (1726 edition)], marginal tear to Pp1 of vol.1 without loss, 4 plates in vol.2 with repaired tears without loss, a few light damp-stains on some leaves of vol.2, joints splitting
