Catalogue Note

Rare broadsheet map of eastern North America, published during the Seven Years' War (or French and Indian War as it is termed in the Americas), and one of the most significant maps of the war published in a country not a protagonist.

This first state lacks the inset of Fort Frederick, and has not been located thus in any of the obvious institutional collections (see next lot).
