discussing his opera [Die Brautwahl], and problems with the edition of the score, stating that he is keen for him to become acquainted with it, discussing the the Italian translation, stating that he can send him a draft of it, enclosing with the letter [not included here] a little article describing the subject matter, noting that he will consider himself well rewarded if it meets with his approval, and discussing a new shorter work for the stage which he hopes to finish by the summer and which he would like to dedicate to him
