Diamond necklace, late 19th century

Of foliate and ribbon design, set with circular-cut and rose diamonds, length approximately 290mm, maker's marks, fitted case.

Mounted in silver and gold. Stamped with maker's mark 'GB'. Diamonds bright and lively, total weight approximately 6.00-6.50 carats. Each side terminating in a loop allowing a ribbon to be added so collier can be worn. Well articulated. Slight abrasions and tarnish to mount consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Accompanied by fitted case in dark green leather with gold leaf pattern, typical signs of wear.
