The necklace designed as a series of graduated clusters, each set with a step-cut emerald within a border of cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, length approximately 460mm, larger clusters with pendant loops to reverse, two deficient, French import marks; together with a later brooch of similar design, mounted in closed back setting, later brooch fitting, partial maker's mark, part illustrated.

Condition

Necklace: stamped with French import marks for silver and gold. Emeralds light to medium green, typical inclusions visible to naked eye and under magnification, abrasions to facet edges. One cluster with fittings to reverse for brooch/ tiara fitting, brooch/ tiara fittings now deficient. Central seven clusters with pendant loops to reverse, two loops deficient. Clasp fitting secure. Well articulated. Abrasions and tarnish to mount consistent with wear. Brooch: Emerald measuring approximately 14.6 x 12.0 x 6.2mm, calculated to weigh approximately 7.98 carats, medium green, typical inclusions visible to naked eye and under magnification, surface reaching fractures. Diamond bright and lively. Abrasions and tarnish to mount consistent with wear. Clasp fitting secure. Both in good condition. Accompanied by case signed Boni-Manara & Co, Angelo Missiaglia, Venezia, the cover stamped with the initials C.C. F. and a coronet.
