Set with foiled circular-cut and oval rubies, further set with circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds, inscribed to reverse 'C. McLachlan to M. McKellan 1840'.
Condition
Mounted in silver and gold. Rubies dark to medium red, typical inclusions visible to naked eye and under magnification, abrasions to facet edges, closed foiled setting. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.50 - 0.60 carats, stones bright and lively. Evidence of solder to reverse. Inscribed 'C. McLachlan to M. McKellan 1840'. Abrasions to mount consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
