Designed as a graduated series of coiled snake links set with cabochon turquoises and pearls, five suspending natural baroque pearl drops, the eyes set with cabochon rubies, length approximately 430mm, fitted case.
Condition
Accompanied by The Gem & Pearl Laboratory report no. 06279, stating the pearls were found to be natural, saltwater.
Turquoise light blue to medium green. Pearls low to medium lustres, light rosé and green overtones, pearls of various shape. Rubies light to dark purplish red. Well articulated. Five snakes suspending pearls, four other links with loops where pearls could be added. Abrasions and tarnish in places consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Accompanied by fitted case signed Pickett goldsmith, 265, Oxford Street, slots for other jewels now deficient, case with scuffs to sides.
