Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality and graphic intensity is much more pronounced in the actual works. Condition: Each work is framed under glass and is in good condition overall with the exception of (ii) which is heavily foxed and creased. Each of the other five sheets displays some scattered tiny spots of foxing and some shallow creases. (i) the sheet is attached to the front mount along all four edges; there is some light wear throughout. (ii) the edges of the sheet are uneven and all four edges are deckled; there are spots of foxing throughout. (iii) the sheet is attached in places to a folded book insert with an additional ink drawing on the reverse. There is some light wear with paper skinning towards the centre of the lower edge and few spots of foxing to the left of this. (iv) the sheet is hinged along the top edge; the bottom and left edges are deckled. There is light wear and some scattered foxing. (v) the sheet is undulating and is hinged along the top edge to the front mount; the work is also attached to the backing sheet in the lower half of the composition. There is an additional folded book insert attached to the back of the backing board with an ink drawing inside.There is some light wear and a few spots of foxing. There is a horizontal crease across the centre. (vi) the sheet is attached to front mount at the top edge, the work is executed on a folded sheet, the bottom edge is deckled. There are a few spots of foxing.
