Description

Condition

Tortoiseshell inlay with scattered age cracks and minor losses. Tinted horn inlay with fine age cracks and small losses. Brass inlay with slight buckling, very minor losses and lifting in areas; most extensive lifting to bottom section of back where inlay is lifting in an approximately 4 in. area. Pewter inlay with very minor losses. Ormolu mounts lacking a few small nails. Mounts generally with rubbing, some oxidation, one center mount on one side with some paint residue. Previously refinished interior with some age and construction cracks. Edge of box and of lid on sides with filled holes. In respectable condition for age.
