  • 90.5 cm; 62 cm
upholstered à châssis with woven silk worked with metal thread, the side bands with polychrome silk with metal thread details on self-figured ground and with gold galloon trim, European and possibly from a chasuble, 19th century.

Condition

With scattered age and construciton cracks, abrasions and dents. Scattered abrasions and minor losses to carving. Frame with small restored breaks, one foot above meander terminal with restored break. Small bun tips later. Scattered cracks, minor lifting, chips and small losses to gesso. Regilt, gilding now with losses, some rubbing and light surface dirt. Scattered old worm damge to legs. Now with plexiglass to protect silk insert. In good overall condition.
