upholstered à châssis with gros-point and petit-point wool and silk needlework panel, probably French, circa 1700.

Condition

With scattered age and construciton cracks, dents and abrasions. Carving with abrasions and minor chips at extremitites. Arch of frame with restored old cracks. Cresting with restored breaks. Gesso with scattered chips and losses. Regilt, gilding now with losses, rubbing and surface dirt. Now with plexiglass to protect needlepoint inset. Feet retipped. Backrepainted. In good condition.
