Condition
Louis XV carcass incorporting a 16th century cabinet made up with Japanese lacquer panels for the Portuguese market. With scattered age and construction cracks, abrasions and dents. Lacquered with scattered age and construction cracks throughtout; most with restorations. Largest cracks to upper sections of sides. Scattered inpainting, minor chips and losses and restorations to lacquer overall. Bottom drawer partially remounted, mounts generally with some rubbing, oxidation and surface dirt. Key plates of top drawers probably regilt. Keyplate of top drawer detached but present. Interior of top relined. Mother-of-pearl inlay with restored small losses. With clear varnish. In good overall condition.
