Another slightly larger weaving of this composition from the collection of Paul Meurice was sold Paris, March, 1926, but there appear to be no illustrated examples of it. Condition
Mounted on a wooden stretcher, with cotton lining. Generally good condition and balanced colour. Small splits and areas of weakness in areas. For example top right corner in the light coloured sky area. Small splits in light area of chemise of the figure in the lower left corner. Superficial dirt along the lower edge. Small dark stains in sky.
