Catalogue Note

Comparative Literature:
Giuseppe Morazzoni, Le Cornici italiane, Milan, p. 108, illustrates a similar pair of engraved mirrors. This set is rare due to the fact that it is a set of four rather than only a pair and the fine quality of the engraving.

A related group of four mirrors was sold in these Rooms, 8th December 1995, lot 123 (£58,700).
