In overall good original condition. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches to frame commensurate with age and normal usage. Some hairline construction cracks generally especially across the cresting and at the angles, but these can be left. Very attractive detail to painting and carving. There are some stains (brown patches) to the silk panel, see for example across the bottom and top of the panel. There are some small pin-hole size holes, and a larger hole, bottom right of the silk panel. There are some wrinkles to the silk along the lower edge, and far right of the panel and some small tears (horizontal - top right of panel - and vertical, bottom left and top right corners, and a vertical fold and tear in centre of panel. Frame rebacked. Cresting strengthened. A rare piece.
