Catalogue Note
Morison and Co. were amongst the very best Scottish cabinet makers working at the start of the 20th century. Perhaps their most complete commission was for Lauriston Castle to the west of the city of Edinburgh. This was owned by the company proprierter William Robert Reid whose family were to leave the castle and the collections within to the Nation in 1926.
