  • Approximately 536 by 280cm; 17ft. 7in., 9ft. 2in.
the red field with overall stencil blue vinery and a central arabesque medallion on a dark blue ground, complementary secondary medallions with green ground, all with arabesques, vines and palmettes, within a dark blue border of stylised flowers

Condition

Pile 2mm and down to foundation and knot bars generally. Areas of repiling with higher pile. There are areas across the carpet that have been repiled, and the top end across the width has been rewoven, as have sections across the carpet and especially up the right side, visible as different colouring. There are areas that have been cut and patched, and repiled, especially in the centre, in vertical strips. There are new ends and fringes. Side cords replaced in sections.
