  • 23cm high., 44.5cm wide., 22.5cm wide; 9in., 1ft. 5½in., 8¾in.
with the letters IHS with a cross within a starburst roundel, the sides with addorsed bellflowers and bracket feet, the inside with a later candle-box, with the paper label inscribed in ink N.647 M146 007

Condition

In generally good original condition. There is a horizontal construction crack to the front. There are construction cracks around the edge of the lid. Old minor marks, chips and scratches to the painted decoration. The painted decoration to the frieze below the lid possibly refreshed.
