Catalogue Note
This dish belongs to a service documented by the Ginori correspondence as executed around 1750, for the Genovese family Marana-Isola. From the documents we learn that the service was conceived by Carlo Ginori as a gift to his friend the Marchesa Laura Isola who was very grateful to him and wrote on October 30, 1750: "the service with the arms was plentiful as to pieces and very fine". The decoration of the Marana-Isola service was inspired by the ornaments painted in the porcelain of the Du Paquier manufactory in Vienna. Most of the pieces of the service are still owned by the Marana-Falconi family.
