Catalogue Note

This model of the Dottore was conceived by the sculptor Giovanni Schettino, who executed a group of elegant figures between 1784 and 1788, among which the painted figure of a gentleman, signed " Schettino", in the Capodimonte Museum, Naples, illustrated by A.
