  • 8cm, 3 1/8 in wide
finely painted on the top, base and one side with naval engagement , with-men-of-war firing broadside and Turkish galleys sinking, the other side and the interior of cover with matching troops, horse-men and cavalry skirmish after Rugendas, the interior gilt , the contemporary gold mounts with beaded pattern and waved scroll thumpiece, apparently unmarked
