- 18.5cm, 7 1/4 in high
wearing a yellow hat and black mask, with a yellow, blue, black, red and green chequered jacket, the sleeves and his breeches with stripes and dots on purple and red grounds, holding a slapstick in his right hand and gesturing with his left, the base applied with flowers and leaves (some restoration)

Catalogue Note
This figure of dancing Harlequin is often holding a sausage instead of a slapstick, most probably for Hanswurth, the German version of Harlequin whose attribute is a sausage (Wurst). For similar models, see R. Jansen, op. cit., fig. 15 and Bonham's, 8 December 2010, lot 43.
