Condition
To the naked eye:
The painting appears in a favorable conservation status. There is a beautiful material.
It has an old relining performed correctly.
The work appears under an old varnish, dirty which need to be relief.
There is a rectangular adition in the lower center (about 15 cm high and 30 cm wide). This piece was probably added during the relining.
Under UV light:
The painitng appears under a thick uniform green varnish.
We notice some restorations in the sky in the upper left corner. Retouchings in the leaves at the top right, a some in the drapery and the hair of the Satyr and two retouchings under his hand.
Some retouchings in the opening of sky above the nymphs on the right, several times in the body of nymphs.
We also see a restoration in the adition described above.
The female body is well preserved.
The painting requires a restoration that will make a beautiful work.
