Overall in very good condition. The bronze surfaces throughout retain a rich russet brown and dark green patina. With light rubbing and a few minor spots of oxidation to the overlaid bronze elements consistent with age and gentle use. With some scattered discoloration to the overlaid bronze decoration. The glass panels are in good condition and appear to be original and undisturbed with some scattered surface soiling to the exterior, consistent with age. One glass panel with a crack to the corner of the panel measuring ½ inch in length. One glass panel is red in hue when viewed from the interior which appears to be flashed and dichroic in nature; this red decoration is not visible from the exterior. The interior below the removable liner with some traces of surface oxidation and surface residue. There is an area of patina loss (measuring three inches in diameter) on the interior, which shows the natural color of the metal, and is not visible once the liner is in place. The gilt bronze liner with some minor discolorations to the interior consistent with age and use. The cover presents with a rich brown patina with some minor rubbing to the raised portion at the center. The interior of the lid with some minor scattered areas of oxidation. A beautiful example of this rare model.
