Condition

This early photograph is in generally very good condition. In high raking light, the following are visible: 3 pencil-point-sized impressions that do not break the emulsion in the upper right corner; and a few small, irregularly-shaped scratches and scuffs that do not break the emulsion, primarily in the right portion of the plate. The margin edges are lightly worn and abraded. On the reverse of the mount, '#3685' (the Sonnabend Gallery registration number) and 'C222' are written in unidentified hands in ink and pencil, respectively.
