Condition

This photograph, on double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. The corners are creased, with resultant breaks and a few small losses in the emulsion; the edges are rubbed. In raking light, a few deposits of original retouching are visible, primarily in the lower left quadrant. Also visible in raking light is a soft one-inch linear impression below the dish of sugar packets. On the reverse of the print, '4 / 20A' is written in pencil. The reverse is stamped '60 60 4' and '20' (annotated 'A' in pencil).
