Condition
This print is on double-weight paper with a slightly glossy surface. It has the lovely preponderance of mid-tones, and the inked black border, characteristic of Sander's work from this period. The photographer's circular blindstamp appears in the lower left corner. The photograph is in excellent condition. Close examination in raking light reveals some faint spots of original retouching. The print's very thin black border was applied with ink. The print is been affixed along the top edge only to a modern thick-paper mount.
