  • GUANTES (GLOVES)
  • Gelatin silver print
warm-toned, signed and dated in pencil on the reverse, 1933

Provenance

Michael Hoppen Photographs Ltd., London, 2002

Condition

This warm-toned photograph, on double-weight textured paper with a slight surface sheen, is in essentially very good to excellent condition. A fine patina of silvering is visible, primarily in the dark areas. In high raking light, a soft one-and-1/2-inch handling crease is visible near the right edge of the image. This photograph is trimmed to the image, and there is intermittent and insignificant edge chipping. The reverse of the print is lightly soiled and there are 4 small deposits of yellowed adhesive in the corners. There are abrasions to the top paper-ply along the upper and lower edges. Very minor evidence of foxing is also visible. There is an errant ink mark in the center.
