Condition
This photograph, on double-weight Agfa Portriga Rapid paper with a matte surface, is in generally excellent condition. The print is trimmed to the image, and the corners are rubbed with attendant tiny losses of emulsion. In the upper right quadrant, there is a very small shiny deposit of indeterminate nature. Also in the upper right quadrant, on the mask, is an eraser-head-sized deposit of original retouching. In the upper left corner, there is a one-and-1/2-inch thin linear graphite deposit, likely transferred from the mat window. The reverse of the print is lightly soiled and there are a few small rust-colored deposits of indeterminate nature. There are also abrasions and hinge remnants in the upper corners. On the reverse of the print is the photographer's credit stamp, 'Prof. Edmund Kesting,' and notations written in an unidentified hand in pencil: '#2898' and 'AT/992/10' (circled).
