Catalogue Note
This study of a female figure is very similiar in style and technique to Parrocel's A Seated Angel holding a Stick1 which is a prepartory drawing for his painting, S. Carlo Borromeo praying for an end to the plague in Milan in 1567, in the church of Santa Prassede, Rome. Both studies share the same sketch-like quality and linear shading.
