- Pen and brown ink;
bears old attribution in pen and brown ink lower right: Raphael - 13 3/8 x 9 1/2 inches
Condition
Laid down. Drawn on a ruff pulp beige paper. At the bottom left corner there is a paper defect that looks like a fold, a tiny similar one just above on the right margin. Slight soiling around the margins not very visible. Ink fresh and overall in good condition.

The sculptural images of the Madonna and of the Baptist are clearly influenced by Michelangelo, while the Madonna's profile is also reminiscent of Baccio Bandinelli's drawings.
