- Pen and brown ink and wash, with traces of red chalk, over black chalk;
bears inscription at the top in pen and ink: La Guardia al Sepolcro; and bears pencil attribution, verso: Tiepolo - 11 x 8 1/4 inches
Condition
Window mounted, lower left corner missing and made up. Some light stains at the left corner and towards the top right margin and corner and at the lower right corner. On the verso there are slight stains from the glue around the margins. The drawing is overall in good condition and fresh.

Stylistically the present drawing can be compared with two by Diziani in the Correr Museum, Venice: Martyrdom of a Saint and The Resurrection.1
