Condition
Window mounted. Overall in very good condition. The colors remain extremely fresh and strong. A few ink stains and watercolor splashes verso.

Catalogue Note
Fontebasso depicts the same subject, Diana and Endymion, in his fresco for the ceiling of Palazzo Boldù (fig.1). The compostion of the Boldù fresco is in reverse to the present study and there are other differences, but all the same it is likely that this is a preliminary design for that project.1
