The medium of this work is oil on jute canvas. This painting and the canvas is in good condition. There are areas of soft craquelures, particularly on the lower register (flower bouquet), but the paint layers are well preserved and in stable condition. There are traces of brown liquid media accretion on the upper register (right eyebrow). Some minute pin sized spots of media accretion in the center of the painting (mostly on the yellow background) and the dark brown media accretion on the upper left quadrant (on the roof). There are also some small abrasions on the upper right margin. Examination under ultraviolet reveals evidence of retouching on the upper left temple of the figure, under the eye and lips, in the center of the painting (on the figure's blouse), and in the background. The colors are brighter in reality. Framed.
