Catalogue Note

"...his unique, personal vision, the art of Jimmy Ong transcends trends. This unabashed confluence of a range of influences is the feature of contemporary Asian art, representing that continuous search for meaning in a world changing at an ever-accelerating pace. It perhaps presents the biggest challenge for new Asian artists in the global arena - to have the self-confidence and vision to present their art without regard for the hype and biases of the international art world."
