Condition

Original canvas. The surface is covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is minor abrasion to the paint surface around the edges and some very minor craquelure in the mountain areas where paint has been applied most thickly. There is a small brown pigment stain in the lower left quadrant that appears to be discoloured varnish. Some pigments appear quite dark under UV light, but there is no apparent retouching. Held in a black painted wood strip frame. Unexamined out of frame.
