Condition
Original canvas. There is a faint stretcher mark along the upper edge and a faint horizontal crease in the centre of the canvas. There is a layer of light surface dirt and very fine vertical lines of craquelure throughout. UV light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a simple painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.

The label on the reverse was applied by the frame-maker who framed the painting after it was brought from London to the Netherlands in 1947.
