Condition

The canvas has been lined. There is a layer of surface dirt.There are some minor losses to the edges in the top right corner. The canvas is very fine and the paint surface is thin in places at the corners. There are lines of craquelure and some flecks of paint loss in places throughout. UV light reveals a line of retouching in the lower left corner and areas of retouching elsewhere, mainly concentrated in the top left quadrant. Held in a moulded plaster frame. Unexamined out of frame.
