Condition
Original canvas. There is a thick layer of varnish on top of the paint surface. There are fine lines of craquelure in places, mainly to the lower edge where paint has been applied most thickly. UV light reveals some spots of retouching along the bottom edge – these are also visible to the naked eye – and a few further spots of retouching in places elsewhere e.g. to the sky, however the presence of an opaque layer of fluorescing varnish prevents a more conclusive analysis,
