the oklad chased and repoussé with scrolling floral ornament on the borders and spandrels, the icon delicately painted and with extensive chrysography, depicting the angel miraculously freeing St. Peter of his bonds and releasing him from prison (Acts 12:3-19), struck with maker's mark LM (Cyrillic), 84 standard
Condition
the icon with some areas of damage from the back of the oklad, the panel split and repaired along the back; the oklad with some small dents and splits to corners and edges consistent with age
