Description

  • gold, enamel, diamonds, rubies
  • width 2.8cm, 1 1/2 in.
centred with a gold rouble of Empress Catherine II dated 1779, the front part-enamelled translucent red and flanked by circular-cut diamonds, the reverse opaque white within rubies, openwork gold frame, partially legible maker's mark, possibly EK, on a later gold chain

Condition

Excellent condition with only very tiny abrasions to the enamel and surface wear to the face of the coin.
