the surface enamelled in translucent rose Pompadour over moiré engine-turning, bead-and-spindle borders, rose-cut diamond-set thumbpiece, the gilt interior later engraved in French 'the most gracious tribute of admiration/ Jean/ Paris April 1924', struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 21437, London import marks for Fabergé, 1910

Condition

The surface lacquered over restorations to the sides and front and along one side of the lid.
