the centre with stylised swirling foliage and blue tulips framing a coral coloured rosette on a black ground within a border of green heart-shaped leaves, within elongated palmettes in green and black on a ciselé gilt ground, the rim painted with a band of simulated red and green gems, with blue Imperial cipher of Nicholas I
